COVID-19 Update

As many of you may already be aware the BOLENOWE ANIMAL SANCTUARY is a small, local charity which has been caring for horses, ponies and donkeys that have suffered from cruelty or neglect, for more than 30 years.

The COVID -19 pandemic is, at present, giving huge cause for concern all around the world and is affecting the lives of all of us and this situation seems set to continue for many months to come.

As a direct result of this outbreak and the very necessary measures that we have all had to take in order to get this under control, many business have or will have to close down for the foreseeable future.

OUR CHARITY SHOP IN HELSTON IS ONE OF THESE. This shop normally bring in a significant amount of income from sales and donations that goes DIRECTLY to our Sanctuary at Ruan Minor where a small team of staff look after the 50+ animals that we currently have in our care.
Takings in our shop have fallen drastically! and it appears that we do not qualify for any of the rescue packages that the government are currently offering to help keep businesses afloat. This puts a huge question mark over the future survival of the Charity.

The sanctuary cannot close down without tragic consequences for our animals.

The cost of feed, bedding, medication and wages is in excess of £10k per month and we are asking for your help to meet these costs.
Please, please can you help us by giving a cash donation, no matter how small, to help us through this very difficult time and to try to secure the future of this much loved and needed charity.

It is a difficult time whilst we are doing everything we can to protect our staff and ensure we continue to care for the animals in our care.

Any donation you can spare, large or small, will help us at this time.  Please visit our JustGiving page or website.  Our office phone number is 01326 291272 - but responses to messages may be delayed.  Please Gift Aid your donation if you are able to increase the value of your donation.

Keep safe everyone and Thank You from all the staff and Trustees
